It’s SATs week, and when better to get stuck into some school archives? We’re finally managing to get the archive room unpacked, and uncovering a few treasures while we’re at it.
H unearthed the original plan of the school from 1936. It shows the walls that literally folded away to make the indoor classrooms outdoor – The Verandas leading out into the open play areas, and each room carefully labelled showing long lost cloak rooms and first aid rooms.

It’s been great to see the original plans alongside the new school plans built just this year as the school grows from one form entry to two form entry. And where might you find both? In the Archives, of course!
